I agree with one of the comments, the Dog was the best part of that video.

    JTF2 don't do training videos.

why would you want your enemies to know how and what you trained?

They do "internals" to motivate volunteering from inside the various branches.
Cool videos too, very "navy seal" like.

The dog leaping into the van was badass...the flaming brick demonstration was extra stupid. I still don't get why so many martial artists hate stacks of bricks, boards, and ice. They never fight back and just sit there minding their own business.

Bricks and boards, like chestnuts, are lazy and arrogant and must be punished !!

Seals spend more than 80% of their training submerged in cold water.
They do swim and harrass, breath holding, deep dives, underwater demolitions and occasional wetwork.

I personally found it curious that they were used instead of Rangers on the OBL hit.

When I think special forces for the US, Seals is not what comes to mind.

Dunno when they got into the business of delta force type stuff...

That is not quite correct, Seals spend most of their time fighting on land, near or close to the water...Seal Team Six is special unit created for that exact antiterrorist mission...they are water born brothers of Delta Force. Look up a book called Red Cell by Richard Marcinko...the former commanding officer of Seal Team Six, he formed this group in the 1980's.

Seal team six is reknown for their anti-terrorist capabilities.
SEAL's are not, arguably, the best SF that the US has, period.
Water, land air, as the name states, everywhere.

Since the JTF22 recruits from ALL branches of the military, their "recruiting' videos show them doing Air, Land and water training scenarios as well.

Actually, I watched a whole 2 hour special on their training segments and what they do. And my reckoning is actually quite accurate.

As for Seal Team 6, that name was made up to throw off the ruskies from knowing how many UD teams and marine specialists they had working.

Not saying that their commission hasn't changed, apparently it has when you got them riding stealth helicopters into Pakistan.

Just thought it was weird they went seal instead of ranger. In my view, rangers would have been more effective and probably wouldn't have lost the chopper.

mind you... they did bugger up Mogadishu quite badly. So maybe Seals was the way to go this time round... lol

didnt someone tell you that SEAL stands for sea air land earlier on in the thread? They are exactly the same as the SBS in the uk, yes they have a marintine role but are equally at home on the land and in the air, just as the SOF forces is equally at home in the sea

Rangers are a long way down the totum poll when it comes the CQB and anti terrorist work, delta and SEAL team 6 are the go to guys for the yanks at this stuff, rangers are more attack infranty than anti terrorist guys
