    JCVD: Behind Closed Doors

I'm sure it's here somewhere, but JCVD is doing a reality TV series? And it's supposed to come out today? Or it's supposed to appear on Oprah's network.

All I know is that TMZ reports he was supposed to do an infomercial for a home gym product and he destroyed it when he couldn't get it to work. He then said the product was bad on his reality show. which led me to ask " JCVD has a reality show" All I could find was this promo on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlwilbbrbRU

I'm sure the full story will be here soon.

JCVD in the news twice today!

    Here's more on the incident.
Jean-Claude Van Damme Sued Over Botched Home-Gym Infomercial
    Published: May 16, 2011 @ 6:00 pm

By Tim Kenneally & Pamela Chelin

The Muscles from Brussels is once again preparing to tussle. But this time the battle will take place in a courtroom.

Marketing company Thane International filed suit against Jean-Claude Van Damme on Monday, claiming that he'd caused them to lose a bundle when he reneged on his agreement to film an infomercial for its Total Flex home gym -- and worse, disparaged the product on his reality series, "Jean-Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors."

According to the suit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Van Damme agreed to film an endorsement for Total Flex last year but, when the time came, the actor refused to do so and, worse, made the company look incompetent. The suit -- which alleges breach of contract, willful misrepresentation and negligent misrepresentation -- says that, when Thames showed up to film the infomercial in February, Van Damme had failed to look at the script and failed to try out the machine beforehand, despite being provided with a unit by the company. The suit goes on to claim that Van Damme was unable to recite his lines, didn't know how to use the equipment, and "appeared erratic and chaotic."

Ultimately, the suit says, Van Damme refused to do the commercial --and worse, turned to the camera that was rolling for his reality series and "gave an impassioned speech about how he cannot let 'his people' down by endorsing a product he thinks is no good."

Thane claims that, between air fare, renting the hotel suite and other expenses, they've incurred "at least $25.2 million in damages." The company is suing for compensatory damages, plus interest, court costs, attorneys' fees and "punitive damages in an amount according to proof at a trial."

A call to Van Damme's representative for comment was not immediately returned.
Below is from the website for Behind Closed Doors. It's an ITV thing.
This intimate portrait of Jean Claude Van Damme, martial arts legend and blockbusting Hollywood action hero, reveals the real man behind the macho image as he allows cameras total access into his extraordinary world. He bares his soul and gives us an unprecedented insight into the mind of 'The Muscles from Brussels.'

Cameras follow JCVD and his family and join him on film sets around the world, at work and at play, partying hard, saving stray dogs from the street and planning a 'Rocky Balboa' style comeback fight against a ferocious Olympic champion Thai kick boxer.

Behind the public image is a sensitive and often tortured character who wears his heart on his sleeve. The series sees him feeling strong enough to take on the world, but also reveals a more vulnerable side to the man who regrets his rock 'n' roll lifestyle and desperately misses his family when he is away filming.

Check out the show from 9pm every Tuesday on ITV4.

And here's the other JCVD news of today: Bloodsport redux
