    yes. Ji has many variations.

the one in the picture, is also called fang tian ji or square sky ji.

b/c it looks like the chinese character "tian".

it was the weapon used by Lu Bu in 3 kingdoms.

Lu bu also had the fastest running horse called ci tu ma or red rabbit horse.

my point is that Ji was used on the horse back fighting.

so horse riding is part of the practice.

it is the combination of spear and dagger axe. after iron technology improve they were combined into one weapon

the version on the photo is for calvary. the "sickle spear" is for infantry

Thanks for the info guys . Lol i always wanted to ride a horse while holding a weapon. Plus never realized it was a weapon held by the "flying General" himself . But anyways now i need to find where i can buy one to practice on. I tried looking the websites, but i have no luck with that so far...

lets cut the bullsh1t and be real then.

the spear is deadly in a charge, but not good for melee. the spear axe "ji" adds a cheap small blade to improve melee.

it is not a legendary magical weapon. its a cheap design to save iron.

there are only three dismounted techniques for the ji: charging stance, raising block, chopping stance.
