    Nanquan in Texas?

    Anyone know of any school teaching nanquan anywhere in Texas? Thanx in advance.

    find a wushu school. any school that teaches the sanctioned format of wushu will offer that set.

    if you mean a southern style that's different. If you are refereing to wushu, it is a set that wushufies a hung gar ditty mostly.

    That was totally unhelpful to the guy.

    A lot depends on where you are in Texas. In the DFW area, there is at least 1 Hung Gar school.

    In Houston, the Southern Fist for traditional folks is mainly instructors who are not easy to find.

    In Austin, ---well good luck there.

    As for Contemporary Wushu, you have limited options as well. Houston has some. Other cities are less numerous in options.

    You would think that CMA options in such a large state (population and land mass as well) would be better....but not really.

    Thanks nubianmantis, heh heh, Path of Pain alright. I saw some Nanquan at the Temple tournament and never found out where they got the nanquan from, maybe McAllen?? anyway it was awesome to behold!
