China is a huge place, I'm sure dog boxing existed...but if you say that out loud in China everyone will laugh at you.

Looking up Dishu Quan brings up Dog style and foot binding so is this all bull or what?
The style is called Dishu Quan 地术拳 and is often referred to as dog boxing.
Its a legitimate style and its famous techniques appear in many other styles.
It a style designed for the weak to beat the strong. It like wing chun is thought of as a womans style.
http://www.56.com/u18/v_NjA2Njk3NTk.html Here is a documentary, in chinese
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjQ0MjAzNjcy.html Exceptionally poor quality but shows some of the techniques.
http://www.56.com/u60/v_MzE4NTQ1NTM.html Video of some guy... Skip ahead to 5.00min mark and shows a couple of techniques.
"dog boxing" was mentioned in a government documentary to make it seem more interesting

There is significant doubt that wing chun was actually started by a woman. There is a significant amount of evidence a man from northern China brought it south
Similarly, not all women in China had their feet bound. In fact, most did NOT, and those that did would have no need to fight, much less fall on the ground
The woman thing is probably just a story to emphasize the style can be used by weaker people to subdue stronger opponents.

Things I read talked about many women who learned the style had their feet bound thats why they used this style because much of the techniques are used from the ground. I never said it was created by them or by a woman but according to the lineage im looking at it came from a nunnery. It makes sense to me that if any of these women had become Nuns that they may have created a different system to be used because of the binding practice. I read something long ago about a man who is the last of a number of people who made shoes for these women. There are still some who practice this. Looking at pictures it's horrible looking. This may not be accurate but I read there may have been at least two billion of these women.

I am very proficient in dog style. Most of my past girlfriends have really loved it. I never knew that it was even a gung fu style.

Now I feel bad for eating dog hot pot last Spring Festival..
No.....no I don't. that bich was delicious.
Wasnt there an Immortal/Iron leg Chen who propogated this style around Guangzhou?
Only previously heard of him from Tom Wong, but seems like he also came second in a police instructors tournament sometime in the 30's too.
When it does happen, it's fast and hard and over quick. Either I'm standing or he's standing. That's Real.
