    I went to train with Randy Couture at the original team quest years ago

    thought id bump this since mr johnson is coming back in october to teach a week of classes and seminars at the same gym....would love him to stay but im guessing its not hard to chose between being BJ Penns grappling coach and being in Hawaii or cold rainy leicester

    I had friends who wrestled in high school Never muched liked wrestling...My love for Kung Fu was motivated by the seventies martial arts movies...All I ever loved was chinese boxing!

    I was hooked.
    Went with him to the local wrestling club and did greco-roman and freestyle for about a year.
    Loved it.
    Complemented the Judo I was doing very well.

    kung fu has grappling elements. studying and understanding grappling can only make your kung fu better...

    actually the title of thread is imo very appropriate
