the fights happened there?

5th world championship, many "big names" in US community are very young fighters but i don't know exact date

I was at the 5th championship labeled "Bloodbath in Taiwan." It was held in 1986; if I remember correctly, around September, October or so...or whatever month the Moon Festival was, because a friend handed out some moon cakes to us there. I *think* it was held in Panchiao(?). I was also at the 7th?? world championship, in 1992. Fun stuff.

I re read the article and it does say 1986, sorry. So you were there? Was it as they say in the artcle

I can barely read the small print as it appears online, but I did have the original IKF issue. The tourney was quite brutal. By the time this particular championship returned to Taiwan in 1992, they had instituted headgear, different gloves, etc. In fact, the format of the tournament was different in '92, but it was still pretty brutal.
