Do empty force people know it's fake, or do they actually believe they move people?

The way I see it, one of these two things has to be the case:

1) they obviously know it's BS and are just f'ing with people

2) they actually believe they have powers and have managed to convince their students that this is the case, hence their students respond to them

Also, could someone please post the vid of the mentalist(?) guy who goes to a kung fu school, sees a demo of empty force, and then replicates it himself by using subconscious cues or something, and the teacher is astounded? I can't find it.

People will often say "it works, but it only works on their students/people who are sensitive to qi/etc."

Even if that is the case, what good is a technique that only works on your own students? Are they going to attack you on the street one day?

Not to mention that James Randi will give $1,000,000 to anyone who can do this.

People aren't scammed by this. They are wilfully ignorant due to their own desire to possess something that they believe no one else to have.

It's the same reason a dude with a lot of money goes out and buys a Maybach instead of a Benz.
