Why would u even try to take that guy down? I didn't see one kick. If he had some kicking skills that fight wouldn't have lasted as long as it did.

Yarborough was always a novelty act, not much more.

For training, this guy would go to the beach every day, seek out a pilot whale that had found itself some shoreline and then he'd ground and pound that whale!

His legs are smaller than the other guy's arms. The last place you want to be when standing in front of a mountain that can collapse on you any minute is one leg.... I also think he realized the only way to topple this tree was from the bottom, it wasn't going to be from beating its midsection or jumping to graze the head.

He did the only think he really could do. Which was he probably set up after tiring him out.... pick one leg and hope for the best.

All the big guy had to do was bear hug him and fall forward.

That little guy probably isn't going to be able to press 600 pounds off of himself.

yes, that is true. It is quite clear that the big guy was only that.

He had nothing but mass. No skill, nothing, just a big heaving pile of flesh dragging itself around.

Sumo has degraded in the heavyweight division because it's just a shoving match at those sizes.

seriously, leg kicks would have been the answer and the easiest. Chop that mountain down, he sure ain't going to get out of the way and he's not going to check and he can't reach down to grab the leg with how slow he is. I just couldn't understand why he didn't use kicks?

maybe he didn't know kicks or wasn't allowed... hard to tell.

Yeah when the wrestlers are around the 250 mark they can move.

at the heavyweights, those guys merely try to shove each other out of the ring or topple. no fancy stuff like the smaller guys. just lugging it about and lobbing it.

Can you post some vids to some good sumo matches? I don't really know anything about the sport or the skills or techniques or anything.

Keith Hackney fought him in UFC 3 ( I think). Busted up his hand after countless hammer fists to Yarborough's head.....
