Seriously, are we that screwed up?

Not us as a internet forum cause we know THAT IS the case, but us as a people.

Have you noticed how accetable violence is and how it seems unaccetable to view the human form?

It is perfectly fine for us and our children to see violence during a sporting event, during a movie on primetime even read about "unbelievers" being destroyed by God, but if you see a pair of boobs or a butt a bit to revealing it's like freaking armageden !!!

The other day a movie was on and there were a couple or "risque" scenes that showed perhaps more cleavage than they should have, so it was blurred out, but then they showed a guy losing his head and the bloody neck stub !!!

WTF ?!?!?

Another example:

As a moderator on this forum ( having been on a few other before this), a forum where people talk about violence and how to do violence and post movies and gif and pics of violence, but someone ( be it me or any other member) posts a pic of a "busty hottie" and people say it is inappropriate because what if teenagers or kids visit the forum?

It can even just be a pic of a busty women in a bikini top, something kids see EVERYDAY and everything they go to the beach, to the pool, to the water park !!

So it seems that posting a pic or video of someone getting a beating or stabbing or broken limb is fine, but cleavage isn't ??

Seriously are we THIS screwed up ??

I'm not! I think its just fine for kids to see both. Again I dont generally follow the social norms of the culture I live in. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the human body, and I dont feel its something we need to hide from our children and tell them that its bad. Because it is not. Socially, and culturally, many people are raised to believe this, depending on where you come from.

Now sexual habits and activities of course are another matter, but the body in and of itself is something we all have and all see naked every day!!

many kids in america and many other countries, they are raised from a young age to be ashamed of their bodies, and to hide their eyes from the vision of other peoples bodies, but i believe this to be an un natural thing.

Yeah, I'm afraid we are. It's OK for kids to beat up people and slaughter thousands in video games but sexuality is a restricted product sold by advertising media in an unhealthy fashion.

I had once hoped the '60s had done away with American puritanism. But nope. Nudity became more accepted, but only as a product to be sold. The restrictions come from lawmakers who are not allowed to speak their conscience or personal tastes because they might lose the votes of those who are the most screwed up.

We are screwed up, but there is a difference;

Often in Movies, Videogames etc. The violence is fake. Boobies can't be fake I mean.... You know, its a real naked girl.

But the bloody stump is fake. If it was a genuine video of someone being decapitated it would be censored long before the most graphic porn.
