to simplify, How many TCMAists have now included a ground game in their training/teac
let's cut through all the bull and just get down to brass tacks.
The reason is, I believe most TCMAists have already done this, or are in the process of doing it, which really makes all the trolls' arguments null and void.
So..let's see if I'm right:
Yes. I have always brought in collegiate wrestlers, greco-roman wrestlers, nhb, judo, jiu-jutsu, bjj, shuai-jiao guys to teach at my school since we've opened in '86.
But, grappling wasn't a regular part of the curriculum until recently. We now have grappling for kids, teens and adults on wednesdays, and we will probably soon add another day in.
We still downplay it, keeping it to once a week, but the students really enjoy it, and have-get this-with only a few months under their belts, been competing in sports JJ, and having a blast.
Plus..I get to add shuai-jiao jackets to my pro-shop. (maybe BJJ gi's as well-sport jj requires a long sleeve jacket)
"My Gung-Fu may not be Your Gung-Fu.
Gwok-Si, Gwok-Faht"
"I will not be part of the generation
that killed Kung-Fu."
