    2011 Video Shaolin Forms Comp.

    Hello All,

For shaolin fans, here is a large collection of performances from Dengfengs most recent Taolu competition.

    Many different forms here enjoy:

Also on the second page are some Sanda contests.

Thanks I saw at least some of it. Interesting for me was, as I looked one by one I saw some I dont like. Then I just concentrated on the pictures and looked if the stances seems to be good and those I watched then where much better.. Anyway to be honest I missed what a form makes important. The expression of different methods or different skills. I mean I am not a real Northern Shaolin Kung Fu practitioner as I have no teacher in it. Thats the way I look at it. But through the other things I have learned I claim that I can see different skills as skills can go beyond different styles.
And thats what I missed there. They were fast and very powerful and I strongly believe that some of them can do different if they want to, but in some cases it went clearly away from how I want to see such a form.
For me performing a form is beautiful If one can show the skills you should develop in this form, not if you do it extra nice looking and so and so...

    Kind regards,
    Xian

    Awesome, Thanks Ren.

Looks like the second page has more form videos too. Infact, I clicked the first one that looked like the guy was in control and wasn't wearing a shiny pair of pants. Turned out to be a Wugulun pai guy. Pretty cool stuff, They might have more from him too.

Muchas gracias for the link. I remember the kids at WNF's school going to a competition, probably this one. Nice to have the link to the vids.

    Hey, check this one out!

    http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzI2Nzk3NDE2.html

It's Luohan Duibo, a form Shi Deyang was trying to remember at the end of September. He taught it to Shi Xingpei (the guy in all blue) just weeks before the competition. Although their range was a little off for some of the kicks, they did pretty good considering having just learned it...

Here he is doing Mizongquan Erlu:

And a couple students from the school doing Mizongquan Yilu:

There should be others of students from Shi Deyang's school. A bunch of them entered the competition. They were doing Nanyuan Datongbiquan, Jinnaluowanggun and others.
