    Iron gym bar

    Fellows,

I was wondering your experience of the inexpensive iron gym bar that sit on the frame of your door. Does it really help and can you really build muscle? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe it needs a doorway with trim around the door.

Does it really help you build muscle? It lets you do pullups. There's nothing magic or special about doing pullups but they're a good back/biceps bodyweight workout.

There are 678 reviews on amazon. Have a look at some of them:

I've never used it before so I'd have a look at those reviews. Pay attention to the one star reviews. Some of them say it won't fit in certain size doors.

If you get one let us know how you like it.

    adaptability is the key

get like a 20lb+ iron/metal bar to swing around, aswell as use as a device for pull-ups... carry it around in your car, use it as a walking cane/stick, hammer some nails when you don't have a hammer, punch holes thru block walls with it for plumbing, practice the staff with it, practice the sword with it, practice it as a BTMFD.
