Meeting Thiago Alves & Pat Barry

Well I got to meet a couple of UFC guys last week, Thiago Alves and Pat Barry. Pat has some Kung Fu in his background, training with Shawn Liu in his early days of fighting. Both are really nice guys and humble. A world of difference from the impression you might get from the MMA proponents you meet here online.

The results of that meeting should be up on youtube possibly by the end of the week. I'll post a link here when it's available and we can discuss the finer points of applying MMA in the 'real world'.

on a serious note none of the fighters i have met have been anything BUT nice... people need to understand the difference between confidence and ****y*ess and also between show business and reality

I've met a lot of fighters. Some are very polite. Some are really friendly. Others are *******s. It's just like any community, only amplified because it takes a certain special type to want to fight in a cage. I'd say all of them lean towards being more extreme.
