A time of retrospect and great consertentation

    So, over 20K posts...
Seriously, I need to get a freaking life !!

    But, since I am here:
    Psalms 144:1
Praise be my Lord my Rock,
He trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle !

As I look back over the years, in retrospect, I recall how in the beginning I was received and the may debates and discussion I've had.
I was a bit of an anomaly here, as I was told by the likes of knifefighter and others.
I was a TMA that had done sport combat and advocated BOTH.
I realized that I wasn't that much of anomaly as others had the view too.
Because of my views in certain things that were very traditional ( Iron hand and body work, dim mak, etc) I was sometimes called out by the "mma" advocaters.
I was even told by some that had been here and left that I would last here long because the "kung fu fantasy fairies" would eventually cause me to either leave or commit seppuku !
Even now I still get the occasional "why are you still there? why aren't you in a fighters forum?"
    Truth?
Yes, there are times with the limited, yet vocal, delusional fantasy-fu people get to me, as they get to others of course.
But the honest matter of it is that I like it here and I dislike "fighter forums".
They tend to be shall, self-centered and rather boring.
I have also noticed that those forums tend to have as much, if not more, "arm chair fighters" as this forum.
At least here some are open with the whole view that MA are about more than fighting.
I like it here and I Like you guys.
DJ, Rik, Lucas, Iron weasel, Joy, Gene, Hebrew Hammer, Phil, Alan, Bawang,MK, so many others like Frost, Spencer and even Hendrik (LOL), guys like Kevin and Anlerich (sp?) and so many others, really.
I miss the likes of Knifefighter and Terrence and even my biddy HW8, but perhaps the biggest loss has been David Ross and before him Mike Parella and others that have left because, well...there is only so much fantasy that one can take.
Why do I stay and post?
    one simple answer really:
    Yin and Yang.

And props to Our Liege Lord Gene for putting up with our **** !

    Life goes on...

I think some guys left because life got busy and other guys left because they weren't being allowed to throw feces anymore.

But, it is still a great place!

I think you've made a lot of great booby contributions too.
somewhere out there is a soft porn site that is saying to itself, "who is this guy putting our goodies into kungfumagazine?"

    lol

we all thank you for it.

    also, thanks for the updates....

By the looks of his FB page, Mike Parella is very busy with real life MA and doing quite well at it.

Mike has some great videos, remember the watermelon and nut challenge ones?
    Classic !
It was nice to have him and Dave, two guys that learned from a living legend, posting with us.
Gladly we still have Chris and his overly active vocabulary !

If a link is NSFW it is tagged as such. You can lock out anything you think would be nsfw and take it from there.

    /r/funny
    /r/wtf

are a good place to start. (Don't follow Wenshu's link, although, that is pretty close to wtf, anything with "space" in front of it, avoid!! AVOID!!!!)

I've not gotten any viruses or that from there. Links are scrubbed pretty good. Huge blacklist is in place. The site is well managed though not always well moderated.
