    qigong in Los Angeles?

Anyone knows a good qigong classes in the greater Los Angeles area? And how about their reputation is ranked among true practitioners?

    Thanks

L.A. is king of qigong - new agey , traditional, or whatever you wish it to be.... depends what you're looking for. Qigong takes years to practice... you could follow the shaolin monks of the shaolin temple from China ... they're around the suburbs of Los angeles....

Those shaolin temples I have seen are the typical Mac Dojo and I have found many schools offering qigong classes but I am not impressed by their credentials. If you know of a good school or teacher then I will take a look.

    Thanks

how would you know what's authentic or not? have you seriously checked out all of them? really? Do you even know what you're looking for when you're making claims of what's fake or not.

Also, the chinese do not use the term "dojo". That's a japanese term. "Qigong" is chinese based so you may be looking at the wrong culture . That could be one of your problems in not finding a good qigong place in L.A. when looking for a mac dojo.

Are you sure you're not looking for a reiki master? The kind that could do energy work on your body?

Oh well if you have practiced martial art, you understand and read mandarin Chinese then I can have a pretty good idea when I watch a class and listen the instructors telling them or telling them what they want to hear, this type of hocus-pocus mysterious qigong class.
Or I can hear them repeating what the spiritual capitalist self help books say.

The faster they talk about cost or contract , it is mcdojo, if they don't bring it up until down the road, better chance.

There is a Shaolin Wahnam instructor in Vegas you could go to, I highly recommend him. Very cost effective, one private session set me up for over a year(potentially a lifetime) of life changing practice the first time I went to him.

And if you are as interested in lineage, as you seem to be.

    Iron Crotch?!

    edit:

"But today, Tu exalts this practice as a penile panacea. It can prevent old age and diseases, increase energy and vitality, make muscles and bones stronger, reduce arterial blockage, cholesterol levels, diabetes, allergies and ear problems. Additionally, of course, it can greatly enhance sexual performance. According to Tu, this method will increase the sperm count and boost male hormone levels in a way that is much more natural and better than taking drugs like Viagra or steroids."

When all of these benefits can be attained through the 18 lohan hands, etc I see no reason to drag trucks with your ******. :/
