    Jerry Poteet

It comes with great sadness that I report the passing of my teacher's Sifu (and on occasion, mine as well). Jerry Poteet passed away yesterday evening, January 15th.

    RIP Sifu Jerry.

Ed Monaghan asked me to post this:

    Sifu Jerry Poteet Memorial Contributions

Sifu Fran asked me to thank the scores of students and friends who have called, sent emails and placed posts on facebook. Many have asked for an address to send flowers. In lieu of flowers, a bit of financial assistance would be of great benefit in this time of need. Please send contributions to 4533 Colbath Ave. #1, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423.
    Please help anyway you can.

The very nature of life, that which gives it it's unique flavour, is that it is finite.
We are here for a short time and we live the life we are given.
Sifu Poteet lived His life and lived it well and will be remembered and loved.
    RIP Sifu.
