duo gan / Dor Kang / Avioding Force Boxing

    Hi,

been having discussion and thoughts with my students on the techniques and meaning of this form.

I have been thinking about the feeling and techniques within the form and the timing. Feels like the emphasis is on the half beat or beating your opponent with timing.

Anyone what to throw in their thoughts?

All that and also about getting off-line from their attack and stealing the initiative. Personally to me I'm also getting a sense of letting go and relaxing through the techniques.

Mantis is always going to have the half beat thing going on.

In Daw Gong, look for all the circular redirects, neutralizations, and yielding.
