Bong Sau: The principle
A wise man once said "Bong Sao, it's not just for getting high anymore !"
Another person said, "Come on man put the Bong Down"
Now depending on how you look at it can be comical...
But also you can take it literally!
Bong Never stays. In other words you dont keep the Bong out, up or high for prolong periods. Once you intercept or cut off your opponents force with bong sau you should instantly lower the elbow or remove your vunerablity from the equation.
In Wing Chun the bong never stays qoute is referring to leaving your elbow out there for your opponent to grab and manipulate. Each hand technique has certain weaknesses. One of which is the exposure of the elbow with bong sau. In either case What I usually do is go into rolling fist or tan da when I bong sau. These are most common but not the only things I do.
Would any one else like to share their opinion on Bong Sau Not staying High?
The Flow is relentless like a raging ocean with crashing waves devasting anything in its path.
"Kick Like Thunder, Strike Like Lighting, Fist Hard as Stones."
"Wing Chun flows around overwhelming force and finds openings with its constant flow of forward energy."
"Always Attack, Be Aggressive always Attack first, Be Relentless. Continue with out ceasing. Flow Like Water, Move like the wind, Attack Like Fire. Consume and overwhelm your Adversary until he is No More"
