    New York Fat Keung Association

I'll be visiting NYC in 2 weeks and I was interested in visiting this school in Brooklyn. Does anybody on the forum train at this school? What styles do they teach?

I'm interested in their Tam Gar Sam Jin. Is it at all related to this version from Hak Fu Mun? Tit Sin Sam Jin Kuen

I would doubt that it is... that form was created by Sigung Wong Cheung of Hak Fu Mun. To my knowledge it's a mixture of his Hung Kune, Hak Fu Mun, and Hung Fut. I know my sifu has a older training brother in New York but, to my knowledge he is not teaching.

    Hello taichi4eva,

To my knowledge... there is no one from our lineage teaching on the east coast. I know my sifu has former students of his in New York but, I don't think any are teaching. I could check with my sifu and find out. I know he had some high level students in New York as he taught there well over 20 yrs.

    Hey David!

    How are you bro?

I've gotten away from martial arts forums... I look in from time to time though. Too much drama for my liking...

How's life treating you.. you and Stanley still training together?

You know how long he's been teaching there?

I wonder if this is the guy my sifu was talking about... When I lived in Brooklyn and was looking for a place to train... my sifu told me of a good CLF sifu in Brooklyn but, he couldn't remember the name and thought he'd retired. My sifu was in NYC from the mid 70's to early 2000.

If David is not an option for you... I know a very good Hung Fut sifu that may be near you! I think he's living near PA.. I know he traveled into NYC to train me when I was there and he also trained a bit with my sifu.

This guy is relatively new to the area I think in the past 2-3 years. He is from the main school in King Mui. One of our students lives in NY now and trains with him and really enjoys it. I believe he has a small place but unfortunately I don't know much else aside from the youtube clips I have seen of him.

Ahh Okay, My sifu spoke highly of this guy but, had lost touch with him over the yrs. My sifu rarely speaks about anything.. so he must have been really impressed with this guy!
