Hmm, what could this be?
Bruce Lee TV Project Due From Justin Lin & Bruno Wu’s Perfect Storm

EXCLUSIVE: Having launched a TV division in April, Perfect Storm Entertainment has found its first project for the small screen – and it comes from the pen of Bruce Lee. Fast & The Furious 6 director Justin Lin and Seven Stars Studios’ Bruno Wu’s joint venture has partnered with Bruce Lee Enterprises for a TV series based on material written by the iconic Enter The Dragon actor. Details are sketchy on the one-hour drama, but it looks like Lin could direct the pilot, my sources say. CAA is repping the drama and Perfect Storm is planning to begin meeting with potential showrunners soon. This project — a passion for Lee, I’ve heard — is the first one Lin has formally gotten involved with since F&F6 came out in May. In February, Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr reported that Lin is attached to direct an adaptation of Patrick Lee’s upcoming The Breach novel for Warner Bros. Lin is producing that one with Michael De Luca.

In terms of Perfect Storm, which was formed last March, the company brought former FX exec Danielle Woodrow on board this spring to run the TV unit and develop scripted dramas and comedies for network, cable, digital formats, and the international market. While Perfect Storm has a first-look comedy deal with Sony Pictures Television, this does not fall within those confines despite Lee’s work being known for its versatility and humor as well as its masterful martial arts displays. Lee passed away 40 years ago this month at age 32. Lin is repped by CAA, manager Dana O’Keefe of Cinetic Media and attorney John Sloss.
