Movie soundtracks used in old-school KF films

Here are some of the various soundtracks that have been lifted for 1970s to early-'80s kung fu films. Some of the tracks that were lifted may be from a particular soundtrack but may not be included on the link. I will also name *some of* the films parts of the soundtrack were used for. Aside from their being lifted for KF films, they are also simply good soundtracks in and of themselves. Hopefully this won't be seen as OCD. I just happen to like music.

Anyone feel free to post more, as there are some I hope to discover.

    Nice posts, guys!

    A Joyful Proces,
Witchfinder General and mob violence are especially great finds. I heard
Wg in countless Shaw films, and always wondered where the end fight music in 8 Diagram Pole Fighter came from.

    Mickey,
Good one, too. Don't worry; nobody is out of their league here. It's all about enjoying and sharing!

This was driving me crazy all morning

I caught the end of Five Fingers of Death (1972) on El Rey's Mutton for Punishment Chinese New Year Kung Fu Marathon this morning over breakfast. I heard that klaxon sound when Lo Lieh's hands turn red and was like "I know that!" but couldn't put my finger on it (pun intended). I knew it was the opening of an old TV show. It hit me on the commute and I rushed to this thread, only to find mickey was way ahead of me on this.

    Gene,

An interesting coincidence that in my last post I referenced entry #9, and you found mickey's post, entry #10.

    Slightly OT...

This isn't quite a Kung Fu film. It's an old HK gangster flick by Wong Kar Wai, his directorial debut, no less. As Tears Go By (1988) features a Cantonese version of Take My Breath Away by Berlin from Top Gun (1986). The chorus is in English but the rest is redone in Cantonese.

Jimbo, my compliments on a very amusing thread you've got going here. It's taken me this long to find something to contribute that you haven't already covered, and even then, it's not quite Kung Fu.

Thanks, Gene. And it doesn't have to be KF. Old-school action, gangster, etc., using other soundtracks or album music also count. I'm counting your entry as number 115.
