mickey might be right, as I searched numerous western music and none of them corresponds. I doubt such a good song would not pop up on youtube after 2 hours of search.

This is a clear soundtrack for Challenge of Death, it's not heard for few seconds but for like a minute. I wonder why it is hard to find... For example we know all soundtracks of Snake in the Eagle's Shadow, even the ones that are heard for like 5 seconds...

Thank you again, I hope you or someone else finds it.
    Greetings Gentlemen,

It was a short time ago when I inquired about a Japanese tv series that featured Sonny Chiba. The theme of that show was so close in melody to what you guys are discussing that I was able to be several steps ahead of the melody and not be off by much.

If you can find that TV series, It will put you much closer to who did the themes in the movies that you mentioned.

Synopsis of TV show: A young man abandons his hopes of playing professional baseball to look after his siblings after his mother leaves the family for a traveling theater company. The show begins with the man grown up and married and his mother suddenly comes back. It is a show that features sacrifice, hurt, healing and forgiveness: a real tearjerker. This show came out in the "70's.

    mickey:

Thanks for sharing that. I'll look into it...I have looked into your suggestion a bit, and there is very little info online about Chiba's TV career.

    Lashab:

The track you're looking for may very well be on youtube. Then again, it might not. You might be surprised just how many good songs/tracks are NOT on youtube. Or if they are, will take a LOT more work than just 2 hours of random youtube searches to find/identify, unless you actually know the source. Even then, you may not find it on youtube. For example, I have been aware (in some cases for years) of the names and sources of several different tracks that were used in many KF movies, but which I haven't mentioned or posted about because (AFAIK) they are not on youtube (or any other linkable source). I only include entries in this thread that I can post audible examples of. Of course, if I don't know an unlisted track and someone asks about it, I'll honestly state that I don't know. If I DO know a specific track that is NOT listed in this thread, NOR on youtube (or any other linkable source), and someone was REALLY desperate to know what it is, I might PM the name of it and/or its source to them. But that hasn't happened yet.

The very last moment in this film has this soundtrack! I just remembered and confirmed it after I checked it.

    I mean exactly at 1:30:13

I wonder what the soundtrack is...
The music in this minute is from "Sasabue Omon-Girl With Bamboo Leaves" (1969), composed by Hiroaki Watanabe. It was on youtube, but is gone.

In this Japanese movie is more Kung Fu soundtrack music:

    -Magnificent Wanderers (many tracks)
    -5 Tough Guys
    -Trilogy Of Swordsmanship...

I made sound clips if somebody need them.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately we still don't have the audible sample from youtube. And Hiroaki Watanaebe isn't even on youtube.

    Jimbo

I understand. We now know the name of the track but the problem is it's not on youtube. The composer has no tracks on youtube and even when you google, it shows different Hiroaki Wataenebe from 2000s.

    mickey

That's interesting, I will check that out.

    Good news:

I found a new youtube link. Here is the movie (Sasabue Omon - Girl With Bamboo Leaves):

    Here is the imdb link:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0203087/...=tt_cl_sm#cast

The composer has only this credit.
