Yeah, unlike the city with its apartment buildings (mountain dwellers), street walkers and pimps, homeless, career driven yuppies to afraid to look at anyone that passes by, traffic jams, dirt and garbage.
Yeah, I can see the appeal..

Yup. Much more comfortable there than in suburban hellscapes.

Thrust upon the good people of the CITY by the denizens of the SUBURBS. Proving my point that suburb = hell.

As a Markhamite, I have nothing to do with Toronto.
Toronto got Ford because of it's amalgamated cities.
Mostly it was Etobicoke and Scarborough that voted him in.
As major world cities go, Toronto grows more pathetic and overrun with greedy rats everyday.

It's clear that Council is in the pockets of condo developers and could give a rats ass about public works. For instance. they haven't done a thing to the Gardiner, it's falling down and with every fresh piece that falls off there is a fresh argument to continue to do nothing about it.

Further to that, you have greedy rats who actually want to dump a casino on the waterfront! WTF is wrong with them? They are self centered greedy rats and they are so because they have built a system around themselves that enables that behaviour.

No way am I gonna live there.

The members of council who want to actually build a casino are far in the minority - it's mostly the provincial government pushing for that one.

Agree with you that the lack of action on the Gardiner is a crying shame. I used to think that it should be converted to green space; but with the rate it's crumbling I think it should just be removed.

I almost went there for monetary reasons but in the end I didn't go. I used to dream of living in places like NY, Paris etc etc but as I get older I realize just how Vancouver indoctrinated I am. To me I live in an outdoor paradise because I'm an outdoors kinda person. I like the city and I live in the city but I grew up with a certain type of playground that I just don't think I could live without. I think it's the mountains. I did check out TO pretty well tho, it seems like a good place for the right person. I notice there are alotta Ontario cats on here, huh.

I think if I could find a place that offered me great snowboarding and skiing, great city life and fresh and salt water beaches I would totally consider moving. A good friend of mine from there couldn't take it here and had to go back to TO. All depends what youre used to and how much change you can handle I spose. For her it felt like a trade down to be here whereas I felt the opposite.

I would really like to go to niagra tho. We have some pretty tall waterfalls here, really high but thin. Nothing like THAT! Who wants to go for a barrel ride!!!

    Vancouver?

    Nice place.

But, far away from pretty much everything.
Except Seattle, which is like an American version of Vancouver...lol

My Brother lives there. I like to pay it a visit now and again.
Too rainy for me to want to actually live there though, so kudos to you for toughing it out in soggy old Van.

3rd best city in Canada though.

    Toronto is it!
I cam to see some of the family there and I still loved it. They are mostly in the Mississauga area! Also have family on Vancouver Island and the location was stunning.

As much as I love the GTA, I would probably move to New Brunswick if I could.

I would go to Victoria as next best place to live in Canada.
