    Hung Gar in HK

    Hi all,

Am planning to visit HK soon and would like to visit some hung gar schools.

If anyone can recommend any schools (or websites with school details) that would be great!

Thanks but I have already looked at the google search results.

Was actually hoping some other hung gar practitioners from either overseas or within HK could recommend schools that they have currently visited or are training at.

    Thanks anyway.

There are many schools and teachers of Hung Ga in HK, especially recently.

One master who I learned from and find thoroughly knowledgeable is Sifu Leung Kwok Fung. He learned deeply the Lam Sai Wing lineage from Chiu Wai, and the Dang Fong lineage from Jau Wing Dak. Further he visited many different teachers and lineages of Hung Ga to understand Wong Fei Hung's concept and way of Hung Ga before it was personalized by so many teachers. Anyway, each has his own story but Ive never seen a teacher do as much research into a style as this man has, and he focuses highly on usage and essence over forms.

    Sifu Leung's old website is:
    http://ihome.ust.hk/~su_shao/cgi-bin...r_profile.html

His new site isnt in English yet but you can use a google translator or something:
    http://hunggarhk.com/

Heres a clip of his class training:

and a clip of Sifu Leung doing a form (not Hung Ga though):

    Hope it helps!
