    I am searching

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq301...eature=related

I am searching for a form which shares relation with this one. I know that there is also a Ping Kuen in Choy Lee Fat. Maybe a lineage or another form with relations or maybe similar sections ?

    Best regards.

the whole thing is just bs. Cma practitioners routinely lied to their students about the sources/authenticity of their material; not just the. The whole honor and good behaviour in society garbage is a philosophical hook to sell the ma as a broader way of life.
thats not wing chun. Weng chun. It looks like someone got dooped.

Yeah thats Chu Family Weng Chun like its taught in Hong Kong. It shares no relation with the German Branches of Weng Chun. And Yep its no Wing Chun. As far as I know Chu Family uses a Fa Kuen System (this Ping Kuen is one of this three forms ), a Chong Kuen version, Heaven Wooden Dummy and Luk Dim Boon Kwan.

It appears to be a *******ised form of the King Mui/ Xinhui Siu Mui Fa Kuen. Are these the guys that ripped off Ping Kuen?

OK, just watched it while more awake, and this is the Ping Kuen from King Mui with some weird circles added in.
We had a whole discussion on it a couple of years ago http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/foru...ad.php?t=55056

Thanks I read the thread. In Terms of Weng Chun, this Ping Kuen belongs to a Fa Kuen system of three sets which are all regarded as part of this Fa Kuen system.
Its a bit controvercial as sources state that Chu Chung Man Sifu learned this from another Master(I forgot his name) as special sets from Chi Sim Si but in the same source its also stated that they are no original parts of the Weng Chun System.

So its not clear if these Fa Kuen Sets are just simply a single system on its own or like it was stated in your thread simply coming from Choy Lee Fut.

I saw several Ping Kuens from Choy Lee Fut now and as I see it they share several similiar postures but the overal structure of the form seem to be different from that Ping Kuen.

Of course speaking of general Body mechanic it has many similarities except that man on the video seem to concentrate on short bridges.

    The three forms are:
    Ping Kuen
    Fat Kuen
    Mui Fa Bat Kwa

By they way I also found out that in Yip Kin Wing Chun there are also two Fa Kuen forms which they trace back to Chi Sim.

Ignoring the fact that Jee Shim is probably a fictional character, the set demonstrated is the Ping Kuen from Chan Koon Pak (indeed probably the Ping Kuen from Chan Yiu Chi).
    It's this form done badly

    Ping Kuen

This is the best performance of the Chan Family Ping Kuen I've ever seeen (Sifu Wong Zen Yem of Brooklyn, NYC):

Compared to the form that opened this thread, it's like fire and ice.

Hey thanks, but to I dont know.
You see Chu Family considers most of the martial arts still as secret. There are a few short videos out from the current head of the Family but they do not show much.
There is only this short piece of their Ping Kuen availble.
Maybe I have to explain more about the reasons for my request. I have studied Weng Chun here in Germany under Andreas Hoffman, he teaches one form which he calls Fa Kuen.
A former masterstudent of him, went to a Chu Family member in Spain and showed him this Fa Kuen version. He told that it has nothing to do with the Fa Kuen system of Chu Chung Man family.
But Andreas Hoffman says he learned it in Dai Duk Lan and its like a refined version of all forms of this Fa Kuen system. So If he hadnt learned it in Dai Duk Lan I tried to find versions where his form may have come from. As there is no version of his Fa Kuen online I took this Weng Chun Ping Kuen version of Chu Family to compare.

I am myself know only Andreas Hoffmans Fa Kuen but no other version. I saw some Ping Kuen and also the other forms you showed me and no one resembled his Fa Kuen technique even close. Even the Weng Chun Ping Kuen from my first post seems to be in many postures quite different from these Choy Lee Fut version.

So I am still wonderring where Andreas Hoffmans version comes from.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Xian

That's because it's just done so badly. The combinations and structure are all from the Chan Koon Pak Ping Kuen, just with moves missed out, changed or fudged. If you know Ping Kuen it's very obvious, which is why all the CLF people have identified it as such.
You are looking in the wrong place, as these forms have a LONG history in CLF, and certainly weren't handed down from some mythical figure. Whatever story the Chu family are telling is untrue, they either learned it from a CLF teacher, or they learned it from Doc Fai Wong's videos.
