    Fight Night

On September 14th in Boston's Chinatown they had another open fight night at BUF.

This is the third time they held this event. This time there were people from Tae Kwon Do, Filipino MA, Hung Gar and of course some Wing Chun. Everyone was able to spar with other arts and test their skills.

Three of my guys had gone to all three nights representing our Pin Sun Wing Chun boxing!

    Kev,

Our guys did well and they always learn a lot everytime they mix it up with other arts.

Each guy had three rounds with three different people/systems.

    Peace,
    Jim

    WC in Boston

Jim are you the one teaching WC at that school? I was in Boston several weeks ago wandering around chinatown trying to find good roast duck and saw the school. I went up at around 1pm in the afternoon. No WC people were there but the lady let me play with the dummy - very kind of her and that school has a great dummy that is mounted very well. Actually that place is probably one of the best gyms I have been in. It seems as if someone put a lot of money into it. I've been meaning to send the my sifu in Boston the address of the school.

    Rindge,

The school is owned by my close friend and you are correct about how nice the club is! IMO it is one of the nicest martial art clubs in the USA. I do not teach at that club. Once in a while stop by to say hello to them after Chinese class.

    Kev,

We have video footage. Maybe when we put out our next batch of youtube clips we will make one from these events. A short highlight clip.....

    Peace,
    Jim

Jim, I'm so glad that some Wing Chun people are mixing it up testing their craft. We need more of that.
