    Goofy Kung Fu Top

I'm trying to find a picture of that sleeveless kung fu top that was sorta popular for a while...frog toggles I think, beige'ish...sleeveless with some sort of graphic on it...anyone know what I'm talking about and can link?

    I'm guessing...

    ...a Shaolin Hemp vest!

    Hemp is beige-ish...

It's not that goofy. They're actually super comfortable during the summer heat at Shaolin. I used to wear one, back when I had abs, guns and a Shaolin mullet.

I am so poaching this for the Shaolin forum now.

it was a traditional shirt for manual laborers. its usually all torn up, but the bright silky colors make it look weird.

People who take their Kung fu pajamas seriously are funny to me

There's no silk on a Shaolin vest - only hemp and cotton.

I know a lot of people bash kung fu PJs around here, but honestly we spar so much that I would go through regular shirts and clothes way too much to make Kung Fu training financially feasible. We've fallen into using those mandarin zipper 3/4 sleeve tops because they're sturdy as heck.

i think he's talking about these

    Jonie 3/4 sleeve

    sorry gene

anyways, I used these for my schools demo/tournament top...

ftr, over Tiger Claw's kung fu pant which think IS the best pant. Light, and they wear to a nice soft light black color. no ass kissing, just the truth. and i never had a pair fail in sparring, and i'm a big guy. I still have 3 pair.

but, back to the Jonie tops: the poly/cotton blend is strong, the seams are strong and I thought that they would possibly hold up well in sparring.

but, I also think just put a t-shirt on, or a rash guard for no snagging (better).
