Do you practice iron body techniques?

I think having someone hit (or slap) you is a very good way to condition your repsonse to an actual punch. For example, I like this technique.

Excellent form, you can really see how the proper training disperses the force of the blow in a wave like pattern.
    Excellent internal skills and chi.

lol. Yeah...who knew that you two would be in here "practicing'".

If I don't move this into off topic, someone's head is going to explode I'm certain.
I'll have to endure a bunch of libel and slander and mean spirited chastising if I don't.

so, fun while it lasted, but over to you mcgoo....

Uhh no slander or libel there at all.

Usually we have to have the newest resident fahkwit go on the attack after being taken to task for being said fahkwit.

Iron body is a valid kung fu topic.

I would like to hear other suggestions for this very valid kung fu method.

There usually 2-3 schools of thought when it comes to Iron Skills.

External only: This is where you are hitting yourself with sticks, hands/arms, wooden poles, bags etc. Most external hitting is called Pai Da Gung and some schools teach it as a conditioning concept versus a set.

Internal Only: Usually material that includes standing, moving(twisting and turning), can be only standing but some schools have sitting included in this internal only training.

External/Internal: More complete in my mind. You train the internal structure through standing and moving and twisting the fascia of the body. After doing this for a two year period you then add the external hitting to fully train the body.

I am more of a fan of total and complete training both internal and external versus a single modality.

A family site that discusses teachers raping kids! What a great idea!

Man, you guys just gotta do this when I've got a busy day ahead...

Trying to run a magazine here, doncha know.

OK, I'm taking time out from keeping the last bastion of CMA periodical publishing to get you all sorted here. Man, maybe I should unban Warrior_Man, as we're all much more cooperative when we are banded together against a common enemy.
