    Send some prayers our way

We just found out that my mother-in-law(and one of the people that practically raised me) has kidney cancer.

Sad to hear that man. I think the best advice I can give from my own experience is to maintain a positive outlook and stay hopeful. I wish you all the best.

James, as you know I am a Christian so my prayers will be a bit "Christianized",so...
May Our Lord strengthen you and your family in this time of need, may you find comfort in His grace and love.
When I found out my father has ALS ( Lou Gerighs' disease), It was a very difficult and painful time for Us all, Find comfort and strength in the love you have for each other and for your mother-in-law.
You and your family are in my prayers my friend.

    Hey, all the best James.
That's a grind, but if caught early has a really high survivor rate.
    Stay positive!

    Hi James,

I've got you and your mother-in-law in my thoughts.

It can be rattling at first, but as with everything in life, is better dealt with together.
Be strong and positive, and remember to take care of yourself too.

Stay positive and believe. But mostly, just be there. Make every day count. I had the chance to spend a lot of time with my mother before she passed and it helped a lot. Survivor rates get better every day. Good luck with all of that and I hope it all works out for you guys.

    Thanks everyone.

After another trip back to the ER to remove the stint, she's at home. The prognosis is good. It is contained in the kidney and they are taking it next week once all the consultations are in agreement.

Recovery will be extensive(they are taking an organ after all), but she should be fine with time.

    Good to hear dude,
Where there is treatment, there is hope my friend.
Believe me, you don't ever want to deal with a disease that they have no treatment for, it's a horrific thing.
