You can learn anything online, that is not the issue.
How GOOD you became doing it, that is another matter of course.
You can learn to swim online ( the various strokes and kicks) but you still have to get into the pool and swim ( or drown).

I can't toss a rock on the web nowadays without seeing those TapouT XT ads. They are spending some serious cash on advertising right now.

This is just an alternative, usually for those seeking to get in a good workout for health, fitness, etc. They train similar to a fighter, but don't get beat up for real like a fighter. Similar to those who train TMA but don't want to spar hard and going for full knockouts nor fight in the ring. All valid.
