It was a good camp. Great people, nice surrounds, hard training.
Here's a link to a review by one of the Finns:

Here's the first clip, made by Tanglang Men Polska:

    All welcome next time.

Of course we'd like to hear a review.. and post some more exciting vids if you can!

I especially like the vids featuring sparring, tripping, pushing, and elbows/knees

I second that and I find myself studying them and making comparisons to what I know and many times I prosper!

    Agreed!

Oh and Brendan one more question.. not sure if you'd know but approximately how many attendees of the training camp were practitioners of mantis styles other than seven star?

Tai Mantis fighter here, just curious

    Thanks for the interest guys.

I posted a summary as the September Update on my site. Happy to discuss:

Unfortunately I haven't had enough time to make any more clips (beyond the ones posted on page 15 of the clips thread) but may do so in the future. We filmed a lot however the main camera was broken and therefore most of the footage turned out to be completely out of focus. OK as a training reference but no good for sharing.

As far as how many attendees were practitioners of mantis styles other than seven star – the majority happened to be Qixing, however both Slawomir Milczarek and myself have studied more than just QX and at least a couple of the boys in attendance have trained in other TLQ styles. Though my roots are predominantly QX, the backgrounds of my teachers is diverse, MH, TJ, TJMH and QX from another lineage and this is reflected in my Tanglang.

    Cheers,

Great format and content for the training sessions. More people should follow that example.

Good points regarding spirit and aggression. Many do not like that kind of training, but it's a huge benefit and key to fixing lots of deficiencies.

    Greetings,

I enjoyed watching the footage of the training camp. Really good stuff.

I may have to steal the brother's idea of wearing the support cup on the outside of the pants. Never thought of it.

Thanks -N- I think it's one of the specialties of Chinese Boxing.

Mickey - the cup/box over the pants is mainly in the interests of quickness. So you don't need to keep ripping your pants off every time you need to throw it on. Depending on what kind of pants though it can prevent the cup coming right down underneath so be careful
