IMO, NASA needs to leave the near earth ops to the privates and get back to the frontiers. To me, their job is to pave the way for the privates, not unlike the early expeditions out of europe that were state sponsored and ultimately lead to the American colonies or Louis and Clark which paved the way for the westward migrations.

With exception to the research being done on vessels like the ISS which are very important. Especially the studies on the effects of long term living in space on the mind and body.

I think what needs to be worked on and developed is a propulsion system that will make space travel viable.
    Until that...

I think it will be a matter of creating a device that facilitates spooky quantum interaction to occur. So, getting there.

I'm sure it will be happy accident that leads to the discovery.
spooky quantum actions are 10k faster than the constant.
    Which is trippy.

here's a not bad little write up about it.

Don't hold your breath. Humans won't be leaving the solar system in your lifetime(MAYBE when you're an old man). That's just how it is. Even if we could create an engine capable of doing it in a timely matter, that still doesn't address the MANY other issues we need to sort out in order to make such travel a reality.

For now you guys are gonna have to settle for robots and pictures.

You have the emotional intelligence of a six year old....... Child.

This is what happens when people aren't educated. They get giddy over garbage and get bored by amazing shit they have no hope of understanding. It's a sad sad state. I actually feel sorry for you a lil. But just a lil.
