When a producer says he is glad to have hired a certain actor, he is either happy with his/her performance or the money that the film has made. However, as far as Vidyut Jamwal’s next, Bullet Raja, is concerned, the producers are happy for a different reason altogether. The brawny boy, who
replaced Irrfan in the Tigmanshu Dhulia directorial, left everyone on the sets awestruck when he risked his own life to save a stuntman called Mansoor from falling off a cliff.

“We were at Etawah (a city in Uttar Pradesh), where Vidyut was shooting for his introductory scene. The stuntman, Mansoor, was on a harness, hanging from a cliff. Suddenly, the harness snapped. Everyone around stood frozen, but Vidyut moved quickly to the edge and grabbed Mansoor’s hand,” says the source. The shoot was halted for a couple of hours after the incident that left the entire unit stunned.

After the heroic episode, both Tigmanshu and producer Rahul Mittra said that they were happy to have chosen Vidyut for the film. “Both Tigmanshu and I feel that Vidyut is a natural action star. The way he salvaged the situation by saving the stuntman’s life without caring about his own speaks volumes about his character,” says Rahul.
