Yoga is harder than Kung Fu

I've been taking Vinyasa yoga for a few months to rebuild the strength in my injured shoulder and opposite elbow. Holy sh1tballs. I sweat more in there than any martial arts class I've ever taken. I'm completely fatigued after a 1-hr class and sore for days after.

It ****es me off when 45 year old women can do crazy handstands and I can't yet. My shoulder is probably at about 65% and my elbow/forearm is about 85%, so I'm just now getting strong enough to support my weight and hold myself long enough to attempt a decent handstand pose.

On the plus side, I'm the only dude in the class. So all the hot spandex-clad MILFs bring me yogurt, drinks, etc to every class.

Anything that you are not used to will be harder than anything you are used to.
I've put marathon runners and triathletes puking with some bag routines I do.
    Specificity rules.

I agree with sanjuro_ronin concerning specificity, I've been doing yoga since I was 12, and I have never thought of it as being difficult or challenging.

Thats because I paid the ancient one to beat you with a stick when ever you complained, so you eventually began to feel torture as pleasure. you're welcome.
