very good video showing toh ma...i think biu ma would have alot more force behind it!
The Flow is relentless like a raging ocean with crashing waves devasting anything in its path.
"Kick Like Thunder, Strike Like Lighting, Fist Hard as Stones."
"Wing Chun flows around overwhelming force and finds openings with its constant flow of forward energy."
"Always Attack, Be Aggressive always Attack first, Be Relentless. Continue with out ceasing. Flow Like Water, Move like the wind, Attack Like Fire. Consume and overwhelm your Adversary until he is No More"
Really poor demo of footwork. Everything in the clip is based on pushing with the arms and there is a complete disconnect between the step and the force delivery (not to mention a very compliant partner). To demo / train the thrusting action he needs to hold his elbows still or even lock them against his body then use just his legs to explode into the partner. Training footwork against a resistance is the same as doing weighted sled runs (which you can also do with biu ma if you have a sled and an outside space), it builds explosiveness in the footwork.

What's wrong with his post? He wasn't rude, he simply gave his opinion and backed it up with a supporting reason. Or is it just because he didn't agree with a clip you may have?
Maybe the bad rep WC gets is from the extremely touchy, overly sensitive people that we see posting more regularly on WC forums

If you lock elbows against the body you have lost upper body strength, hence not connecting the lower and upper bodies. Its the rotation with the arms combined with the movement of the lower body and generates the push.
If the partner was to be compliant he would have jumped in the air and bounced a little

see my previous post. Its all well and good trying to combine both upper and lower body and for application its the way to go but if you can't generate power from the legs then you will always over compensate with the upper body. IMO the best way to train the legs is to isolate them.
As for the jump and bounce, its only a little removed from the OTT staggering backwards.
