    R.I.P Yu Tianlu

Master Yu Tianlu, disciple of Lin Jingshan (Qixing Tanglang) and brother of the late Yu Tiancheng passed away suddenly yesterday in Yantai. He will be sorely missed by the entire Tanglang community and was the living textbook example of Yantai Qixing.

    So sorry...

interesting to see he used vertical fits mostly. it is harder to lock an arm when they punch with vertical fists and generally older kung fu styles performed the vertical fists. i think the power generation is also better with a vertical fist. R.I.P

Very sad to here the news. I met Sifu Yu Tainlu last year when he visited my sigung Lee Kam Wing. He seemed like a very interesting and nice guy.

As a side note, when I first started in 7 Star Mantis my kung fu uncle told me that the vertical fists are used alot (I come from a wing chun background).
