    Breaking a hold, or grab, are a couple of examples, but the pose is completed form( completed form just means some moves prior and pause, he's at the pause point), so its application can't be readily seen, also you can call him, Si Suk Gung Wong is very cool and down to earth. The two old guys are two high ranking choy li fut masters: Great Grand Master Wong Gong and the late Great Grand Master Woo Van Cheuk, with their student my Si Suk Gong Wong Doc Fai.

    Seriously,

    It is very difficult to know what is intended there because the posture is merely a pose for the camera. There is no intention going anywhere: just a dead pose.

    In that regard, the serious interpretations presented already are all equally valid.
