    There are many common names.

However, we may describe them as 4 techniques focusing on forearm turning and body turning with steps.

    1. Ning twists

    2. Gun rotations

    3. Fan flips

    4. Zuan drilling

Can you describe specific moves you are referring to ?

    thanks for the replies guys!

I am referring specificly to this type of twisting winding wrapping motions using your arms, waist, torso bending/ducking, and circular stepping to entangle/envelope the opponent's limbs, neck, and torso in one continous motion like a snake coiling around the branches of a tree as moves around in the tree. Looks almost like a very refined high level of grappling.

    Demoed in these youtube clips.

It seems as though this aspect of bagua has even influenced certain systems of kali and penjack silat

I can see a that the way how baquazhang is taught , it can be considered beginner level and kali, escrima, etc can be upper or higher level due to the present wushu form baquazhang, which the many are not taught martial oriented usage.
