    I am curious to read what John Wang, our resident SC master, things about this clip...

    I was especially entertained by their gi grappling segment.

    Are you, perchance, referring to undue compliance in the take downs? That always drives me crazy, not just as an observer. Some students help too much, especially when doing a step by step breakdown of the throw, since momentum is always lost in that process. I really think teachers would do themselves a favor by doing that, but also doing the throw without the artificial breaks. That way you can really see they can work that force fluidly.

    More opinion -> more argument
    Less opinion -> less argument
    No opinion -> no argument

    I guess people can change their mind. Now did you want to argue on the thread you started here too about where people post, or do you have better things to do? Like discuss the topic of the thread?

    By entertained, I mean in the fashion of watching a train wreck. None of those techniques demonstrated will take down anyone with a reasonable amount of skill. The jacket techniques are among the worst.

    That and how ineffective "pain compliance" techniques has been proven (over and over) to be.

    A quick Q. Do you know of anyone in the UK that is worth seeing with respects to SC?

    Ah, I had the volume down, so I wasn't even aware pain compliance was being worked!

    I thought it was just closing, grabbing, and then the student chooses to fall down before they should.
