6th Annual International Warriors Hall of Fame Championship

    Friends,
August 9th, 2014 will be the date for the 6th Annual International Warriors Hall of Fame Championship hosted by Master Tony Yang. The event will be held in Akron, Ohio. Details can be found at http://www.wutangcenter.com/wt/

The Master's Demonstration last year featured: Sun Deyao (Taiji Meihua Tanglangquan), Wang Rengang (Taiji Meihua Tanglangquan), Zhang Maochang (Taiji Meihua Tanglangquan), Jaime Hooper (Qixing Tanglangquan) and Wang Bingwen (Shaolin). Several of these shifu will be returning this year.

I am especially excited that my shifu from Qingdao, China, Master Zhang Weifu (Taiji Meihua Tanglangquan), will be in attendance with a few of my kung fu brothers and sisters.

There are two types of Chinese martial artists. Those who can fight and those who should be teaching dance or yoga!

53 years of training, 43 years of teaching and still aiming for perfection!

This past Saturday was the 6th Annual Warriors Hall of Fame Championship hosted by Master Tony Yang of the Ohio Wu Tang. We had a great turn out of Masters and competitors.

Chinese masters who attended included: Sun Deyao (Hao family Taiji Meihua Tanglangquan), Zhang Weifu (Hao family Taiji Meihua Tanglangquan), Zhang Maochang (Hao family Taiji Meihua Tanglangquan), Wang Rengang (Hao family Taiji Meihua Tanglangquan), Wang Bingwen (Shaolin), Arthur Wong (Hung Gar), Xie Chongwei (fight choreographer for seven Chinese films and 150 TV shows), Wang Zaowei (Wushu), and Niu Huili (painter and calligrapher).

Styles represented at the tournament included: bajiquan, tanglangquan, hung gar, choy li fut and Chen taijiquan. Sorry if I missed any others.

My two students that competed took 2nd and 3rd place in youth intermediate continuous sparring.

Thanks to all who attended and/or competed!
