10th International Shaolin Wushu Festival has opened in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. More than 60,000 kung fu wushu exponents paraded their skills with kung fu wushu masters from abroad. (By CCTV.com reporter Zhang Pengfei)
More than 2000 participants representing 63 countries, were at the opening ceremony gathered to more than 60000 practitioners of wushu. "The festival has become an influential activity around the world, and the Shaolin Temple endeavors to promote Wushu because it's the home of Shaolin Wushu," said Wu Tinggui, executive vice-president of the International Wushu Federation. As the cradle of Shaolin Wushu, about 100,000 students or Wushu lovers from around the world have learned the Chinese martial art in Wushu schools around the Shaolin Temple.The International Shaolin Wushu Festival in Zhengzhou was first held in 1991 to improve the international influence of the Chinese martial art. Coach and athlete Nikolas wushunikolas living in Macau 馬司洋武術太極拳氣功跆拳道教練 and representing Croatia at this event attended extensive duanwei training and test, as well as competed in 2 events of taijiquan 24 and 42 forms , most popular forms in the world today and won one silver and one bronze prize, and scores were 9,00 for competition and for duanwei test

On October 19,2014,the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Zhengzhou China International Shaolin Wushu Festival was held in front of the gate to Shaolin Temple.Qi Xuchun, Vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Polical Consultative Conference announced the opening ceremony.Then ,the leaders and guests watched the wonderful martial arts performances acted ten thousand persons.After that,Shaolin Temple held a grand welcome ceremony .Ven.Abbot Shi Yongxin offered respectfully paintings to the guests. Guests present were Ye Dongsong,the chairman of Henan Privincial Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference,Wangjun,the vice chairman o f the Chinese Olympic Committee,Wu Tianjun, the member of the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Secretary of Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC ,Zhao Suping,the member of the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the minister of Publicity Department of Henan province,Li Wenhui,the deputy director of Henan Provincial People's Congress,Zhang Guangzhi,the vice governor,Li Yingjie,the vice chairman of Henan Privincial Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
On the afternoon of October 20th,2014,the Thesis Reporting of the 10th Zhengzhou China International Shaolin Wushu Festival was held in the Physical Education Institute of Zhengzhou University. The theme of the seminar was Inheritance and Carrying Forward of Shaolin Martial Arts.Thesis focus on the study of Shaolin martial arts , traditional martial arts, contemporary martial arts, etc. At 2:00pm,Ven.Abbot Shi Yongxin delivered the keynote address,titled the combination of Chan and Shaolin Kung Fu Wushu,which recieved a warm welcome from the guests and a live audience.
Zhengzhou Municipal Sports Bureau Li Qing Shan introduced Shaolin Wushu Festival from 1991 to 2003 were held 7th, 2004 was upgraded to World Traditional Wushu Championships, Zhengzhou hosted the previous two. 2009, the Zhengzhou municipal government decided in 2010 to continue to hold the eighth Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival and originally sponsored by the State Sports General Administration of Wushu Administrative Center and Zhengzhou City, upgraded for the State Sports General Administration and sponsored by the Henan Provincial Government.

昨晚， 第十届中国郑州国际少林武术节闭幕式在郑州市妇女儿童活动中心大礼堂举行。
国家体育总局武术运动管理中心副主任、中国武术协会副主席陈国荣，省体育局局长彭德胜，市委副书记、市政协 主席、市委秘书长王璋，市委常委、宣传部长王哲，省体育局副巡视员张跃敏等参加闭幕式。副市长刘东主持闭幕 式。
第十届中国郑州国际少林武术节10月19日开幕，经过激烈争夺，各项目比赛成绩最终确定。本次比赛共产生5 14个一等奖，其中郑州代表队获得了40个一等奖。
闭幕式上，陈国荣代表国家体育总局武术运动管理中心、中国武术协会授予河南省体育局武术运动管理中心、郑州 市体育局武术贡献奖；王哲宣布本届武术节贡献奖名单，并与张跃敏为连续参加5届中国郑州国际少林武术节的1 1支境外团队代表颁发特别贡献奖。
彭德胜在闭幕致辞中说，第十届中国郑州国际少林武术节，在国家体育总局、河南省政府的大力支持下，在各有关 方面的共同努力下，圆满完成了各项任务，向世界充分展示了中华武术文化的博大精深和少林武术之乡的良好精神 风貌，为全世界武术爱好者和观众们奉献了一道水平高超、特色鲜明的武术盛宴，进一步扩大了少林武术的对外影 响力，展示了河南的良好形象，必将对推动武术文化的对外交流与合作发挥积极的作用。
