I'm looking for a way to measure my punching speed and power. While doing some research I found an interesting device called Striketec which can measure punching speed in miles per hour and punching power in pounds of force.

This sounds like my ideal type of equipment. But it doesn't appear to be available yet. I've been interested in this ever since I saw Martial Artists having their skills tested on Fight Science.

Here's an interesting claim....

Did you know that Bruce Lee had his punching and closing speed measured? According to Jesse Glover in his book Bruce Lee: Between Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do Bruce, Glover and others went to Glover's house and had their speed measured. Bruce Lee could throw a punch at 5 hundredths of a second (0.05 seconds) from 3 feet away. This equates to about 40 mph! By comparison Ricky Hatton had his speed measured at 25 mph.

Does anyone know of any devices besides Striketec that can measure punching speed and power?
