There are a some that believe modern boxing grew out of that. I tend to agree.
I took some pekiti lessons for a short while My problem is it just did not fit my mentality. I really have reservations of hacking and sticking people with things, knives being one of those things. It has a lot to offer for those that do like blades and sticks at a closer range.
