Which animal spirits (Shen) and shapes (Xing) you prefer and why ?

I like horse kicking in Xing Yi 12 animals.

I like dragon swimming body in Ba Gua.

One is the fist methods.

The other is the body avoidance steps and methods.

Put them together.

Encounter the opponent with the dragon steps and deliver xing yi horse stamping.

Ba Gua has a lot of qin na and anti qin na.

There are also a lot of throws and trip to fall.

I do not like palm strike most of the time in Ba gua.

Thus I like to use xing yi fist instead.

I like Rooster!

I like it because it doesn't rely on overpowering force and yet it is still very aggressive and surprising.

In Songshan forms there are quite a lot of rooster techniques. Often these days they are called 'Phoenix' but in the older lines it is called Rooster.
