Jimbo, have you seen any of Miike'e children's films like Yatterman, Great Yokai War or Zebraman? I still haven't seen Ninja Kids. What did you think of Hara-Kiri? I didn't care for it that much.

The only one of those children's films I've seen is Zebraman, which was pretty good. I didn't know it was a kids' movie.

If you haven't seen it yet, one of Miike's more bizarre entries is Gozu. The pace is slow, but IMO it's funny, and there are some truly cringe-worthy moments. Another really weird one is Happiness of the Katakuris. I haven't seen Miike's Hara-Kiri yet, although I have seen the original from 1962.
