    Bruce Lee shoes

Too bad I don't like Vans. They just don't fit my feet well.

Supreme x Bruce Lee x Vans
By Alex Patakos August 13, 2013

By the looks of it, Supreme and Vans have something special coming down the pipe in the form of a Bruce lee collab. Two sk8 highs and a set of authentics make up the pack, which will most likely include some clothing as well.

Peep the photo above and let us know what you think. No release date has been set but don't be surprised if you see these pop up during the coming fall/winter 2013 season.

Stay tuned to n-sb for more info regarding this release.

    More kicks

    Too many kicks now

Clash of the Kicks Bruce Lee Edition: Nike Zoom Kobe 5 vs. Nike Kobe 9 EM
March 28, 2014 By Juan Martinez

    Image: @gc911
Kobe Bryant is a man of culture and sophistication. That much is evident in the kicks that he wears. Instead of trying reinvent a classic that already works, he refines what he already feels is the pinnacle – his shoes – and iterates upon that year after year. He believes that once he himself is satisfied, then the people will follow. That is why despite the aesthetic similarities between his signature shoes, we buy into it because he believes in it. It’s the circle of “buying the same shoes… again.”

Bryant also makes no bones about who has influenced him through the years. He loves the fine arts, reads comic books and takes in a grindhouse flick because he is a eternally curious person. One of those influences is Bruce Lee, the legendary martial artist/actor. For the Nike Zoom Kobe 5, the “Bruce Lee” channels the iconic jumpsuit that Lee wore when he faced off against the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in “Game Of Death” along with the three cuts on the right shoe that represent the memorable hits he took in “Enter The Dragon.”

The Nike Kobe 9 EM “University Gold” (which some are calling “Kung-Fu” so as to avoid the dreaded “giving a shoe the same nickname as another one just because they’re kinda have the same colors” scenario) does not have the obvious homages to Lee but it is hard not to look at the Kobe 9 – especially with those red stitches on the heel – and not think of the Nike Zoom Kobe 5. So let’s get it out on in the open and see what the people think. Check out the images below and let us know what you think in the comments as to which one of these you would rock or if you already have the Kobe 5 and think the Kobe 9 EM can live up to its high standards.

I just split this off into its own indie thread

The two above were originally posted in our Bruce-Lee-Memorials. I thought there were more.

Bruce Lee x BAIT x Onitsuka Tiger Corsair "Jeet Kune Do"

One half of BAIT’s nod to Bruce Lee’s 75th birthday.

BAIT is celebrating the late Bruce Lee’s 75th birthday with an exclusive collaboration alongside Onitsuka Tiger and now we have a look at the first sneaker from the endeavor. Coming in the form of the classic Corsair (the kicks Lee famously donned in Game of Death), the “Jeet Kune Do” takes cues from the philosophy of the iconic martial artist. Coupling luxurious black suede with premium navy leather, the design pays homage to the classic kung fu uniform donned by Lee and many grandmasters alike as it sports an engraved dragon motif throughout. Finally, gold debossing decorates both heels as Lee’s iconic “Kickman” logo appears.

Finished with custom insoles and three sets of laces, the “Jeet Kune Do” will be available at BAIT’s Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Hong Kong pop-up locations November 27 for $120 USD. Those interested in purchasing the kicks online can enter a raffle here.

Stay tuned for an in-depth look at the collaboration’s second pair of kicks — a “Legend” edition of the Colorado — this Friday, November 20.

    And part 2...

    I like these shoes better.

Bruce Lee x BAIT x Onitsuka Tiger Colorado Eighty-Five "Legend"

Part 2 of BAIT’s nod to Bruce Lee’s 75th birthday.

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s “Jeet Kune Do” unveiling comes the second half of BAIT and Onitsuka Tiger’s nod to the 75th anniversary of the late Bruce Lee. Dubbed the “Legend,” the second release comes in the form of Onitsuka Tiger’s old school Colorado Eighty-Five. A nod to Bruce Lee’s final film, the kicks come decked out in Game of Death‘s infamous yellow and black — a tribute to the iconic jumpsuit and Corsair Lee sported in the flick — as a premium nubuck upper is paired with leather stripes, a speckled sole and special branding throughout.

Like the “Jeet Kune Do,” the “Legend” is due out November 27 at BAIT’s Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Hong Kong pop-up locations while those interested in purchasing the kicks online can enter a raffle here.

The shoes are spiked in a fierce bright colorway and would look just right on any feet. The shoes are set at a price of $200 from Nike. Check out images of the NikeCourt Flare below.

This NikeCourt Flare style is available now directly from Nike.

    Even more kicks

The Nike Kobe 11 Bruce Lee Releases Next Month
    By JuanofaKind - Feb 28, 2016

A few days ago we gave you a first look of the Nike Kobe 11 Bruce Lee. Today we get to see detailed shots of the shoe alongside a dope Bruce Lee action figure to go along with the theme of the shoe.

This Bruce Lee version of the Nike Kobe 11 will come constructed out of a yellow Flyknit upper that’s inspired by the bodysuit that Bruce Lee wore in “The Game of Death”. The yellow Flyknit gradually turns into a black Flyknit as you go further down the shoe. Adding to the theme of the shoe, red scratch marks that symbolize Bruce Lee’s wounds in the movie “Enter the Dragon” appear on the heel of the shoe. A black sole unit, tongue and Nike Swoosh make an appearance, while yellow laces and red Kobe branding on the tongue complete the aesthetics of the shoe. Set to release March 19th for $200, is this one of the best colorways that we’ve seen on the Nike Kobe 11?

    Author’s Take

I’m not even a Bruce Lee fan, but these are hard! I love yellow sneakers and the branding on the heel gives the shoe a nice pop. This will be my first pair of Kobe 11s.
There are more pix if you follow the link. I'm just not that into shoe porn.

    Bruce Lee Onitsuka Tiger Corsair

Bruce Lee Onitsuka Tiger Corsair - Jeet Kune Do - LTD Edition
    Item #: XLAM0298
    $120.00

    Overview
***Due to the limited nature of the Bruce Lee Classics (in particular, sizes) - WE CANNOT GUARANTEE EXCHANGES!***

Bruce Lee Onitsuka Tiger Corsair - Jeet Kune Do - LTD Edition

Last year, we teamed up with BAIT and Onitsuka Tiger to celebrate the legacy of the iconic martial arts star with a special limited-edition sneaker. BruceLee.com is offering a limited run of this leather shoe, which pays homage to the footwear worn by Lee in one of his classic films. When we last offered these shoes, inventory of most sizes sold out. We have now located additional stock of the limited edition Bruce Lee Onitsuka Tiger Corsair - Jeet Kune Do shoe in a full range of sizes. Forgotten deep in a warehouse, these shoes are part of the original run – not a reissue! They are as fantastic as ever, with the Flying Man logo engraved into the left heel and Bruce Lee’s loong, his personal artistic rendition of the Chinese character “Dragon”, engraved into the right heel. Each pair of shoes include pairs of blue, black and white laces so that you can personalize your look.

    Nike Air Max Flair

Bruce Lee like sorta counts. This is such an odd thread that it deserves the ttt.

This Bruce Lee Like Nike Air Max Flair is Releasing This weekend

    Kenneth Dixon
    Contributing Writer

    MSRP
    $110.00
    Release Date
    June 10th 2017

Remember Bruce Lee's yellow and black jumpsuit from his film Game of Death? If not, that's okay, because Nike surely does. We've seen the Mamba drop "Bruce Lee" inspired colorways of his signature sneaker and now we're seeing the theme transcend to other sneakers.

Whether or not this colorway of the upcoming Nike Air Max Flair is a direct influence of the martial arts legends is still up in there, but it's not far fetched of an idea. The latest Nike Air Max Flair silhouette comes in a predominately university gold knit upper and is accented with a huge black AIR logo adorning the side and toe box of the sneaker. To tie more into the colorway, Nike coated the sneaker's midsole with a transparent university gold air bubble sole, adding to the uniformity of the entire silhouette.

The gold and black Nike Air Max Flair is expected to hit retailers June 10th and is priced at $110. Check out some images of the sneaker above and let us know if you'll be copping in the comment section.

    NEW Bruce Lee Kyrie 3s

    8/11/2017 12:09 PM PDT
Kyrie Irving Honors Kobe Bryant with Sick Bruce Lee Kicks

    FRESH NEW KICKS
LeBron might be in his doghouse, but Kyrie Irving has nothing but love for Kobe Bryant -- who he considers a "mentor" -- and just honored the guy with some dope Bruce Lee shoes.
The Cleveland Cavs (for now) star says the 2009 Nike Kobe 11 "Bruce Lee" sneakers are his favorite shoes of all time -- and now that he's become tight with the Mamba, why not honor him with a new version of the shoe?!
Enter the NEW Bruce Lee Kyrie 3s ... which incorporates Kobe's signature Mamba logo as well as Lee's famous claw marks from "Enter the Dragon."
Kyrie says he wanted to commemorate the "relationship and mentorship that I've been able to develop with an incredible person."
    Dope.

Couldn't find these on the U.S. Nike site yet. How much?

    KYRIE 3 Mamba Mentality

If Nike wants a product review, well, I don't usually do product reviews, but I wear a size 7.5 US.

    KYRIE 3
    MAMBA MENTALITY
    $120.00
AVAILABLE 9/15 AT 10:00 AM EDT
Bruce Lee’s famous “Always be yourself. Express yourself. Have faith in yourself” quote has had a strong impact on both Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant. Lee’s philosophies have helped Bryant and Irving reach their highest potential both on and off the court. For Kyrie, mamba mentality first struck at the age of 17 when he laced up the Bruce Lee-inspired Zoom Kobe 5 at a Nike Extravaganza in California.

Celebrating the moment and his appreciation for Bryant and Lee, the theme is revisited with the new KYRIE 3 Mamba Mentality. A tour yellow and black colorway references the Zoom Kobe 5 and pays tribute to Lee’s trademark colors. Four red slash marks on the forefoot further connect to Lee.

Honoring the bond between Bryant and Irving, a metaphorical passing of the torch comes to life with a snakeskin-inspired pattern fading into a Kyrie-inspired samurai pattern. The tongue features the new Kyrobe logo, fusing together Bryant and Irving’s signature logos.

"Bruce Lee" (or "Mamba Mentality") Nike Kyrie 3

Kyrie Irving Shares Unreleased 'Bruce Lee' Nike Kyrie 3 Sample
Celebrating Mamba Day like only he can.
BY BRANDON RICHARD APR 13, 2018

    Image via Kyrie Irving

It's a bittersweet Mamba Day for Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving, who won't be able to suit up for the playoffs, but still made time to celebrate one of his basketball heroes.

Earlier today, Irving took to Instagram to reveal an alternate red-based version of the "Bruce Lee" (or "Mamba Mentality") Nike Kyrie 3. Red and yellow essentially switch roles on this pair, with a speckle print added to the midsole for extra flavor. Both shoes were inspired by Kobe Bryant's "Bruce Lee" Nike Zoom Kobe 5, a tribute to the legendary martial artist and actor.

As of now, it doesn't look like this variation will be in stores anytime soon.

    Nike Air Darwin “Wheat”

    Believe in something...

THE NIKE AIR DARWIN “WHEAT” PERFECTLY COMPLETES ANY BRUCE LEE ‘GAME OF DEATH’ COSTUME
    KEENAN HIGGINS OCTOBER 1, 2018

As today marks the official start of October 2018 and Q4, preparation for Halloween has also officially kicked off for those that celebrate the costume-driven holiday. Even though the actual day doesn’t arrive for another four weeks, it’s never too early to start getting your ghoulish ‘fit together from head to toe. Thankfully, Nike just dropped a new colorway for the Air Darwin silhouette that automatically reminded us of a classic Bruce Lee flick that might just give you a little inspo before October 31st hits.

For those that’ve seen the classic 1978 film Game of Death, which suffered major production setbacks due to the untimely death of the film’s star a whole five years prior to its release, this shoe is hands-down a perfect tribute to the Kung Fu legend. Originally worn by Dennis Rodman back in the ’94-95 NBA season, the Air Darwin is back in this cool autumn-inspired hue that will look good before and after Mischief Night comes around. The “Dark Russet”/”Wheat Gold” colorway makes for the perfect combination, balanced out even further with black accents on the eyelets, midsole and side panel Swoosh logo.

Whether you’re channeling your inner Bruce Lee or just getting fly for fall, pick up the Nike Air Darwin “Wheat” right now for $130 USD at select retailers, including Finish line.

    "Bruce Lee Shoes"

Here's an appropo place to post this.

Cinnabar Art Gallery Exhibition 'Bruce Lee Shoes' Pays Tribute to Kung Fu Movie Master
Posted By Kelly Merka Nelson on Wed, May 22, 2019 at 11:25 am

Courtesy of Cinnabar Gallerhy / Emanuel De Sousa
Cinnabar Art tapped London artist Emanuel De Sousa for a poppy exhibit centered on kung fu movie master Bruce Lee's iconic yellow tracksuit. Ironically, despite the exhibition's title, "Bruce Lee Shoes," the subjects of each portrait are pointedly not wearing Lee's famous Onitsuka Tigers. If they even have shoes on, they are depicted in impractical footwear ranging from simple wraps to impossibly high platforms and heavy boots. Feet and hands are often sketched simply, left unpainted or buried under a smear of background color.

It's not lost on us that "Bruce Lee Shoes" rolls off the tongue very similarly to the rockabilly hit popularized by Elvis Presley, "Blue Suede Shoes," and De Sousa capitalizes on this nostalgia, offering "a glimpse into the crossover connection of the childhoods of hippies, hipsters, martial arts enthusiasts, rockabillies and 80s babies." The portraits are furnished in midcentury modern style, with props including lounge chairs, a telephone, a carved bust and more, with its human subjects clutching unusual, yet seemingly beloved objects.

Not to be weighed down by your aunt's stuffy furniture, though, De Sousa balances this brand of nostalgia with imaginative flourishes, juxtaposing the antiques with animals, rosebushes and even mylar balloons. He enhances the surreality of each painting with a technique in which "he lets water and charcoal 'bleed' down the canvas," filling space with smears and splashes to create an unfinished space, a dream where the details fade along the edges.
