This is completely wrong. The only reason why he can even attack this way is because his partners hands are out of place. This would not work with any experience practitioner. Unfortunately, this is what Wing Chun has become. People without a clue just making things up. Excuse me if I sound harsh but it's true.

Sorry, brother. Wouldn't work with me. When he attacks with his fook sau, his partners bong sau is clearly out of position to even defend himself. And as soon as he lifts his elbow to strike he leaves an opening for the person in bong to strike - but he doesn't. ???

When he attacks from the bong position pushing and pulling, his partner is not applying and maintaining any forward pressure from his fook sau. He just collapses and gets hit. ???

Yes, this would work with poor practitioners and poor instructors. This I agree with.

It still looks like "cheap shot" chi sau to me. Sorry.

Yes, Mun Hung is correct. None of this works. It's surprising to read he has gotten away with this stuff with so many practitioners. Kind of sad actually. Lots of stuff works with no elbow pressure.

No need to apologize Mun Hung, sharing your view needs no apology I agree with you - this wouldn't work against anyone that knows what they are doing, let alone 'hundreds of people'. Either he's met 100's of beginner students, or there big group of really bad WC practioners hiding out somewhere in NY that no one has ever seen

There is a lot of bad sticky hands everywhere you go nowadays. I think it's worse now than ever. I make it a point to visit as many Wing Chun schools that I can whenever I travel. I've been to quite a few schools from many different lineages over the years (I've been kicked out of a few also). Unfortunately, few have impressed me. Everyone seems to want to do something fast and flashy. Mostly sloppy with an abundance of cheap shots. The worse thing IMO is the misunderstanding of sticky hands. A lot of people seem to think that it's real fighting and it's not. Don't get me wrong, there are certainly some things that can be applied at the "close bridge" but you have to get there first. Hard drilling against unbridged attacks as well as actual sparring is paramount in Wing Chun. I've been saying this for about 16 years on this forum. Some people will never get it. I wish everyone luck in their search for what's missing.

I've used it on kung fu fighter and he is no beginner. It easly to say what will work and what won't until you try it..
