Tina Fey & Ronda Rousey To Star In ‘Do Nothing *****es’ Comedy At Universal

EXCLUSIVE: Universal Pictures has acquired a comedy pitch from Sisters scribe Paula Pell titled Do Nothing *****es in a high-six-figure deal, with Pell’s Sisters co-star Tina Fey set to star alongside Ronda Rousey as the MMA fighter continues to extend her brand into Hollywood.

The logline is being kept under wraps but I hear it is a female-empowerment tale dealing with wealthy pampered wives who get a rude awakening at a camp where Rousey plays the no-nonsense instructor. You can get a sense of her attitude about this, as the concept for the film originated from an interview Rousey gave this summer about female self-worth that has generated more than 3 million hits on YouTube. She sold 57,000 T-shirts with the phrase. Here’s the video:

Fey will produce Do Nothing *****es via her Little Stranger Productions banner along with Pell, and Little Stranger’s Eric Gurian will executive produce. EVP Production Erik Baiers will oversee for the studio.

Universal’s Sisters, starring Fey and Amy Poehler, has grossed $85.5 million at the worldwide box office since its December 18 bow the same weekend as Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Pell is a veteran comedy writer who has had a long relationship with Fey from their Saturday Night Live days.

Rousey, who hosts SNL on January 23, is shaking off the cobwebs from her first UFC loss in November against Holly Holm. She is plenty busy though waiting for the rematch: She’s starring in MGM’s Road House redo, directed by Nick Cassavetes, in the spring, and her biopic My Fight/Your Fight is in development at Paramount with Mark Bomback on board to write. Last year she had roles in the Entourage movie and Uni’s Furious 7. She and Pell are repped by WME.

Fey is next up in Paramount’s Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot for Paramount in theaters March 4 and is shooting Season 2 of her Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She is repped by WME, 3 Arts and Ziffren Brittenham.
    This sounds promising.

LOL, she's pretty blunt with her perspective. I like her bod, don't consider her masculine, just "warrior chic build". Like Xena. Someone to watch your back in battle mode.
