Another in the odd trend of Indian films named after martial arts stars like Ram Gopal Varma's Bruce Lee & Tollywood's Bruce Lee The Fighter

A white pig is going to be the lead in character in an upcoming Tamil film titled Jet Li. The film, directed by newcomer Jagan Sai, is about the comic adventures that befall two men who try to make money out of people's perception of pigs as bad omen. Kannan Ponnaiah, an assistant of Gautham Menon, and the director himself play these two characters. Actresses Parvathy Nair and Arundhathi Nair will be seen in crucial roles.
Says the director, "The two men use this pig, whose name is Jet Li, to make money. A little boy, played by child actor Rayan, enters their lives, and the events that follow form the plot. Since these were not characters that needed stars, I decided to cast myself and Kannan in the roles of these two men."
Jagan Sai says that they will be creating the pig entirely through animation. "We have roped in three VFX teams to create the pig, with each one sharing a specific responsibility. For example, one company will be designing the muscles of the pig, while another will be solely focusing on its lip movements. A model animator, who worked on the Chronicles Of Narnia films, is part of the project, which includes several other Hollywood VFX artists," he reveals.
